Sammen om en jobb (SAJO) needed a modern, engaging digital hub where immigrants, refugees, mentors and partner organisations could access events, resources and networking opportunities in one place. With AC Events Enterprise on Salesforce Experience Cloud, SAJO launched a comprehensive community platform that connects hundreds of users with weekly events, online courses and personal mentoring.

Background & Project Objectives

Sammen om en jobb is a Norwegian nonprofit organisation dedicated to fostering a more inclusive society by enabling immigrants and refugees to utilise their skills and experience in the Norwegian labour market. To support this mission, with the help of Accenture and Advanced Communities’ AC Events Enterprise, they have developed a digital platform that serves as a comprehensive learning and networking community for their target group, hundreds of volunteer mentors, as well as companies and recruiters. The platform offers weekly events, tools, resources and online courses, networking arenas, and the possibility for getting a personal mentor from the specific field.

As the platform grew, SAJO identified clear limitations with their existing event setup and set out to find an upgraded solution that would:

Provide an embeddable events component directly within the front-page dashboard

• Allow participants to filter events by type and category with ease

• Enable users to add events directly to their personal calendars

• Automate event reminders to reduce manual follow-up for coordinators

• Streamline participant management and registration workflows

• Support the organization’s continued growth and reach

Our Approach & Solution

SAJO upgraded from the Free version of AC Events to AC Events Enterprise. The solution extends SAJO’s existing Salesforce Experience Cloud platform with a richer, more functional events experience, embedded directly into the community portal and designed around the needs of both participants and event coordinators.

Key features delivered:

• End-to-end event management on Salesforce: the team can create, publish and manage events from a single environment without switching between tools.

• Event filtering: participants can filter events by type, making it simple to find relevant workshops, webinars and networking sessions.

• Calendar integration: users can add any event to their personal calendar in just a few clicks, reducing drop-off and no-shows.

• Automatic reminders: event reminders are sent automatically, freeing coordinators from manual communication and ensuring better attendance.

• Participant management: creating events and managing participant lists has become significantly faster and easier for the SAJO team.

SAJO is still in the early stages of exploring AC Events Enterprise’s full feature set, with exciting plans ahead, including more advanced event filtering, embedding events on their public website for non-registered visitors, and enabling participants and partner organisations to create their own events as community users.
