AC Events Enterprise Update: Smarter Registration, Better Checkout, and More Control
At Advanced Communities, we’re driven by a passion to continually evolve, to listen closely to our clients, and to turn their feedback into meaningful improvements. Our mission is simple: to empower organizations with smarter, more flexible tools that make creating, managing, and experiencing events effortless and inspiring. Every update we deliver reflects our ongoing commitment to growth and excellence, helping our clients achieve even greater success with every event they host.
We’re now introducing the latest release of AC Events Enterprise – a feature-rich update that incorporates many client-requested features along with several additional enhancements. This version delivers smarter workflows, seamless integrations, and a more intuitive, engaging journey from the very first click to the final checkout.
Major Enhancements
1. New Registration Flow with Unified Checkout Integration
We’ve introduced a completely new registration flow on the Experience Cloud side: a flexible, ready-to-use template that admins can configure to fit their event needs.

This Screen Flow enables users to:
- Register directly on the event detail page, no pop-ups or multi-step modals.
- Choose between free and paid packages, select additional sessions, and complete payment – all in one seamless process.
- Benefit from a fully configurable flow where admins decide what data to collect (e.g., event questions or custom fields) and what actions follow next.
The flow supports guest users, handles waitlists and capacity rules, and integrates directly with Unified Checkout, ensuring a smooth and consistent payment experience across your organization.
2. Event-Level Capacity Management
Now you can define overall event capacity, independent of package-level capacities. This prevents overbooking when multiple packages are available for the same event.

For example, if your event venue seats 100 attendees, the system will cap total registrations at 100, even if package-level capacities differ. This ensures accurate seat tracking and simplifies capacity planning, especially for events with multiple pricing tiers, discounts, or packages.
3. Smarter Invoiced Reservations
Invoiced reservations can now be configured to either count toward event capacity or not, depending on your organization’s needs. This flexibility helps event managers fine-tune how seat availability is managed.
Previously, when a user requested an invoice but hadn’t yet paid, their seat wasn’t reserved, and the total number of available seats remained unchanged, meaning another person could register and pay for that same seat.
Now, you can choose whether invoice requests should immediately reserve a seat (counting toward capacity) or remain open until payment is received. Admins can define this behavior globally or per zone, giving you precise control over how invoiced reservations affect availability across different events and setups.

4. Dynamic Registration Button Behavior
The registration button on event list views now dynamically adapts based on real-time package availability and status.
Users can instantly see whether:
- Registration is open
- Only the waitlist is available
- The event isn’t yet open for registration
- The event is fully booked

This visual clarity enhances the browsing experience, letting users know what’s possible before they even click “Register.”
Additional Enhancements
Custom Component Tabs in Event Creation Wizard
Admins can now add custom component tabs directly within the Event Creation Wizard. Define the component API name, set properties, and include custom content, enabling greater flexibility and personalization when creating events.
Distance Range Filter Improvements
For a cleaner user experience, the distance range filter now appears only after a location is entered. This small but thoughtful UI improvement ensures users see relevant filters at the right time.
Enhanced Event Speakers Component
The “Show more” button on the Event Speakers component now loads additional speakers incrementally instead of all at once. This means smoother loading and better performance for events with large speaker lists.
Redirect After Event Deletion
When deleting an event from the external site, admins can now choose whether users are redirected to the previous page or the object list page, offering more control over navigation and user flow.
Auto-Confirm Registration with 100% Voucher
If a voucher covers the full registration amount, the system now automatically confirms the registration, skipping payment steps for a faster, frictionless checkout experience.
Band Price Name on Registration Screen
When a band price applies to a registrant, the band price name now displays clearly on the registration screen, providing greater transparency for both attendees and admins.
Event Session Start/End Time Text Field
A new text-based Start/End Time field is now available at the session level (matching the event-level behavior). This allows more flexible use in email templates, marketing campaigns, and communications without time zone confusion.
Agenda Display Improvements
The event agenda now handles overlapping sessions more elegantly, ensuring clarity in scheduling views.
Bug Fixes and Performance Enhancements
As always, we’ve included numerous minor bug fixes, UI refinements, and performance optimizations to ensure smoother navigation and faster response times across the platform.
Final Thoughts
This release marks another step in our ongoing journey of innovation and excellence. From smarter registration flows to more flexible event configuration and capacity management, AC Events Enterprise continues to evolve with one goal in mind: to help you deliver seamless, engaging, and impactful events every time.
