Project Objectives

Aster Software approached Advanced Communities looking for a solution to create an easy-to-navigate, well-organized self-service learning library for their iQ Grower ERP solution. The goal was to help iQ Grower ERP users quickly find helpful resources, guides, documentation, and solutions to common questions or issues, enabling them to resolve simple challenges on their own. By doing this, Aster Software aimed to reduce the need for direct support and improve the self-service features of their Salesforce Experience Cloud portal, ultimately enhancing the overall experience with their product.

Solution

To address Aster Software’s needs, Advanced Communities implemented the AC Knowledge Management Enterprise app on their portal, creating an intuitive one-page knowledge base connected to Salesforce, where all resources are organized by categories for easy navigation. The Advanced Communities team also tailored the solution’s branding to match Aster’s look and feel and provided hands-on support throughout the implementation and configuration process.

Aster now has an easy-to-use knowledge base connected to their Salesforce instance. With its intuitive, clean interface and filtering options, users can quickly find the information they need.

Centralized library of resources

No more chaos or scattered systems! All resources are now conveniently located on a single landing page with intuitive categorization by content type for easy searches. Plus, any file types relevant to users—presentations, Excel spreadsheets, PDFs, images, audio, videos, and more—can be easily attached to the articles.

Structure & system

The Aster Learning Library is now well-organized and user-friendly. With enhanced article views featuring collapsible sections and anchor links, users can navigate long articles easily by expanding or collapsing sections or clicking directly on relevant anchor links.

All data centralized in Salesforce

Aster Software now has a clear view of how users engage with their content, identifying which articles are the most helpful and where improvements can be made. They can easily track and analyze detailed statistics, such as article views and customer journeys on the site, and access in-depth reports on how effectively their knowledge base is reducing support cases.

Better user experience

Aster customers can easily share feedback by voting for and subscribing to specific articles, and they’ll receive email notifications whenever a new version is available. They can also save articles as PDFs or print them for offline use. Plus, for extra flexibility, the knowledge base manager can easily hide the Print button when needed.
