5 Most Interesting Features of Spring ’22 Salesforce Experience Cloud release

Salesforce Spring 22 Release has already arrived in our orgs and we can enjoy all the new features and updates. Advanced Communities, as always, have prepared an extract of the most exciting news of this release for Experience Cloud.

Provide users with content in their preferred language with Multilingual LWR Sites

Now you can add up to 20 languages to the Site Languages list and provide your users with the ability to select the language in which the site will be displayed. Using this feature, you can extend your audience and reach new people.

This functionality is available on Build Your Own (LWR) and Microsite templates. To add new languages, go to the Settings -> Languages page on the Experience Builder and add preferred ones. Then you can use the language selector in the Experience Builder to switch to another language.

Enrich your site with more kinds of content using New Components in Experience Builder

There are four new components added to Experience Builder: Card, Columns, Overlap and Language Selector.

  • Card component allows you to place content in the rectangular card.
  • Columns component allows you to add up to 6 columns of content to your site page.
  • Overlap component allows you to overlap an image with content components, like Text Block and Button, for a layered look.
  • Language Selector component allows you to place the button with a picklist so users can select the site language.

Process more data on High-Traffic sites with Micro-Batching

Now it is possible to process a large amount of self-registrations faster. This is more relevant for sites with big traffic which expect more than 500,000 self-registration requests per day. For example, registration for vaccination sites, sites with high-volume commerce or event ticketing.

These requests will be collected into small batches with micro-batching and then processed to provide efficient handling. After the batch is processed successfully, users receive an email with their login instructions.

Prepare your orgs to the important Guest Users Security updates

Since Spring 22 Salesforce starts to make changes to Guest Users’ security policy, all permission sets and permission set licenses with View All, Modify All, Edit and Delete object permissions will not be available anymore.

These changes will happen gradually from Spring 22 through Winter 23:

  • Starting from the Spring 22 release, you can’t assign guest users permission sets associated with mentioned object permissions.
  • In the Summer 22 release, replacement permission set licenses will be added that contain only allowed permissions.
  • In the Winter 23 release, Salesforce enforces this update and removes permission set licenses and their related permission sets from guest users. 

To avoid disruptions that can affect workflows and other customizations, we recommend you review and remove all licenses and permission sets that contain restricted permissions before the Winter 23 release.

Customize your Site appearance with new Fonts functionality

Now you can optimize your site and specify the different Font sizes for the Desktop and Mobile versions in pixels or in rems. As you might know, the pixel is an absolute unit, so unfortunately, it doesn’t adapt to different devices or browsers and that may cause inconvenience to the user. Rem is a relative value and it shows font size relative to the default browser font size so you can improve site readability for your users.

New Fonts Settings

The second great point about site appearance is that now you can select different fonts for all types of headings, links and buttons from the complete Google fonts library. This new feature simplifies your site branding and allows you to display all content within your corporate fonts.

New AC B2B Commerce Recurring Order App!

Dear friends,

Our team has fantastic news for you! We’re happy to start this year with a new product announcement – meet the AC B2B Commerce Recurring Order app!

B2B customer’s business buyers shouldn’t have to go through the burden of manually creating an order every time they restock anymore, especially if it’s the same or similar order each time. Our solution can help them automate Order Subscriptions and make adjustments or alterations later if needed.  Our app also frees up time for B2B customers and ensures that their store or outlet is consistently stocked with the correct products.

Create Recurring Order right from the Cart

You may make an order and then select it to be repeated on a recurrent basis directly in the web-cart. So the next order will be created and processed automatically, using the same product quantity, price, shipping address and payment method as in the Recurring Order that was created initially. You can also indicate specific items from the cart that you want to receive constantly.

Buyers can specify the frequency at which orders will be created. It can be done on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. They can also indicate the number of days, weeks, or months between orders if they require a longer interval. For example, every three weeks, every second day, once a month on the third Friday, etc.

Edit, Cancel or Pause Recurring Order

Buyers can edit the orders, add or delete positions. They can cancel a recurring order so no new orders will be generated. It’s also possible to pause a recurring order so no new orders will be generated until it’s unpaused.

Major Update for AC Events Enterprise!

AC Events Enterprise is one of the most popular Salesforce native event management apps, covering the most basic to complex event management scenarios. It’s very popular both with non-profits and commercial companies.

This time we’ve prepared a BIG update with many new features. Let’s dive in!

New Modern Design 

The Experience Site’s User Interface has been updated, and it now appears more stylish.

Now it’s easier for users to navigate between their online and offline events, register for events, and view the scheduled events.

Easily get tickets with a QR code

Great news! Now registered attendees can receive tickets for Local events with QR codes. 

That’s so handy that you can have a ticket right on your smartphone and event controllers may scan the code and mark the participant as attended. You don’t need to print it.

Introduce your sponsors!

Now you can display sponsors on the event page. With this new functionality, it’s easy to attach sponsors’ logos and site links to introduce users to companies or people involved in the event organising.

The Event Attendees component can be used on the Experience Site to display people who attend the event. 

Now users can see the number of participants and check if their colleagues or partners are on the list.

A simple way of adding event questions and payments

Now you can implement any custom logic for the registration form and payment process. 

It’s possible to add any questions, picklists, or checkboxes to the registration form to collect all data you need from attendees. 

Also, with a custom screen flow feature, you may integrate almost any payment provider to make the payment process comfortable for all participants.

Increase participants’ engagement by synchronising them with other campaign members

Now you can enable the synchronisation of Event Participants with Campaign Members. 

It can be automatic or manual synchronisation. With this new functionality, you can increase participants’ engagement. In addition, it’s possible to use it within Marketing Cloud or Pardot and communicate with participants by creating email campaigns for different segments. 

For example, you can set up one campaign for those who registered but didn’t come to the event and another campaign for those who attended the event.

  1. – Any Event can be connected to Chatter Group or several groups.
  2. – Users can cancel their registration from the Experience Site (for free packages).

  2. – Also, we introduce forced picklist updates. If your AC Event Enterprise app version needs to update picklist values, you will receive a notification and link to Event Settings for the update.
